After-School Teacher – Elite Learning
Elite Learning is committed to creating a safe, engaging, and educational space for children in our after-school programs. We are looking for enthusiastic After-School Teachers who are passionate about guiding students, implementing fun and meaningful activities, and building positive connections with both kids and families.
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM
What You’ll Do:
Deliver Enriching Curriculum
- Plan and lead creative lessons and hands-on activities that support children’s learning and development.
- Adjust programming to meet different ages, abilities, and interests, encouraging growth in all areas.
Promote a Positive and Safe Environment
- Supervise children to ensure their well-being at all times.
- Build an inclusive, supportive atmosphere where every child feels respected, welcomed, and encouraged to participate.
Engage and Interact
- Actively join in on activities and games while encouraging teamwork and positive peer interactions.
- Guide behavior management in a constructive way to maintain a positive group dynamic.
Communicate Effectively
- Provide parents with consistent updates about their child’s experiences and progress.
- Partner with school staff and colleagues to ensure each child’s needs are met.
Be a Role Model
- Show enthusiasm, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction.
- Demonstrate positive habits and attitudes that children can look up to.
Grow Professionally
- Take part in staff training and professional development opportunities.
- Stay current on best practices in child care and education to continually enhance program quality.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum Age/Education: 18 with a high school diploma or GED; coursework or degree in education/child development is a plus.
- Background: Must successfully complete background check and fingerprinting.
- Availability: Must be available during program hours listed above.
- Experience: Prior experience working with children in a classroom, camp, or childcare setting preferred.
- Tech Skills: Comfortable using basic technology and able to learn new tools quickly.
- Physical Needs: Able to lift/move supplies and participate in active play with children.
