Job Description: Overview
Elite Learners, Inc. seeks experienced Activity Specialists/Instructors to lead engaging activities in areas such as Literacy, STEM, Visual & Performing Arts, Sports, or Leadership. Activity Specialists bring specialized skills and passion to inspire youth and enhance afterschool learning.
Responsibilities:
- Instruction and Facilitation: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in a specific content area. Collaborate with Group Leaders and Youth Workers to adapt lessons for all participants.
- Skill Development: Teach foundational and advanced techniques within the chosen subject area. Promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Safety and Inclusion: Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Support youth behavior management and social-emotional growth.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise or training in a specific discipline (e.g., art, dance, sports, STEM, literacy).
- Previous experience teaching or leading youth programs preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and facilitation skills.
Education/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or professional certification preferred.
- DOE/SACC clearance and background check required.
Working Conditions: Part-time, typically 10–20 hours per week during afterschool hours.
Pay: $23.00 per hour
