Job Overview
We are a growing metal fabrication shop looking for a dependable general laborer to support our laser cutting operations and shipping department. This role focuses on handling parts coming off the laser, basic finishing, and preparing orders for shipment.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who likes working in a shop environment and wants to learn metal fabrication.
20-40 Hours a week
Responsibilities
- Remove parts from the laser cutting table
- Sort, count, and identify parts per job travelers
- Deburr and clean parts as required
- Tapping and countersinking parts as needed
- Stack, palletize, or rack parts safely
- Package parts for shipping (boxing, wrapping, labeling)
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Support shop staff with general labor tasks as needed
Requirements
- Experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Basic measuring skills (tape measure, calipers a plus)
- Comfortable standing and working on your feet most of the day
- Ability to follow instructions and job paperwork
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained)
- Familiarity with metal parts and shop tools
