We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Excavator Operator to join our team at Elite Land Development. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and other heavy machinery with precision and safety awareness.
- Perform site excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling tasks according to project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use; perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and ensure efficient workflow across multiple project sites.
- Assist with horizontal drilling operations and tanker or paving activities when required.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and operational logs for compliance purposes.
Experience
- Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction environment; familiarity with various types of heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks, and Caterpillar equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy vehicles such as dump trucks or water trucks.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely on active construction sites while adhering to OSHA standards.
- Prior experience with horizontal drilling or paving projects is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction site procedures and ability to operate multiple types of construction machinery efficiently.
