SALES CONSULTANT for window covering sales

***CAREFULLY READ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

We seek a qualified, professional Sales Person to sell Window Coverings

We are looking for an individual with knowledge on the following products:

• Blinds (Composite, Wood, Verticals, etc.)
• Shades (Roller/Solar, Cellular/Honeycomb, Roman, etc.)
• Plantation Shutters (Standard, Specialties, etc.)
• Soft Treatments (Draperies, Drapery Hardware)
• Motorization (Home Automation, etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities of the Sales Consultant

• Generating leads and turning them into opportunities for sales.
• Contacting potential customers via telephone, email and face to face..
• Attend scheduled meetings with prospects in order to demonstrate products.
• Negotiating prices with potential customers and closing sales.
• Identifying opportunities for new business within the market.
• Paying attention to competitors and their activities within the industry.
• Building long term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Ensuring all administration relating to sales is completed effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

To qualify, you must have:

• Prior Sales Experience in the Window Coverings industry. Experience working with in-home sales is a plus.
• Self-directed and able to work independently and work as a valuable team player.
• Friendly, courteous, pleasant with all types of people.
• Proficiency in email & internet
• Ability to learn and handle new technology as introduced to the window covering industry.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Telephone, written and verbal communication skills are critical when interfacing with all levels of staff and clients.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Good driving record
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds and can climb up and down ladders.
• Ability to climb a ladder to measure windows up to 16' high
• High school diploma or equivalent completed education level.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Detail oriented
• Basic carpentry skills or experience installing window treatments/cabinets/doors/closet systems or the like.
• Experience with sales involving in-home consultations.
• A high level of computer proficiency including fluency with Excel, email, and the internet
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Excellent references from all recent previous employers
• Décor and interior design experience

Commission Based Employment:

• This is a commission-based position.

Required experience:

• Sales: 2 years

Pay: $40,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
