Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or requiring long-term care. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and comfort in a home environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation of client care and progress.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance overall quality of life.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized living environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques is advantageous.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Knowledge of medical documentation practices is beneficial.
• A compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others.
