Role Description
The Adventure Travel Planner is a part-time remote role responsible for planning, selling and organizing customized adventure itineraries for clients. On a day-to-day basis, this role researches destinations and activities, prepares trip proposals, and manages reservations for transportation, accommodations, and guided experiences. The coordinator communicates with clients to understand their preferences, budgets, and safety considerations, then adjusts plans as needed. This role also involves maintaining accurate travel documentation, coordinating with suppliers, and providing responsive support before and during trips.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Travel Coordination and Travel Arrangements to plan and organize complex itineraries.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to support travelers and manage client expectations.
- Candidates should possess experience or familiarity with Travel Management to oversee logistics, budgets, and vendor relationships.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple trips and tasks in a remote setting.
- Comfort using online booking platforms, CRM tools, and common productivity software.
- Knowledge of adventure travel destinations, safety practices, and sustainable tourism principles is beneficial.
- Prior experience in travel planning, sales, hospitality, or tourism is preferred but not required.
