Travel Fiber Installation Technician
Elite Cutover Connections, Inc. is a telecommunications contractor supporting broadband deployments across the United States. Our teams help bring high-speed internet to communities by installing and activating fiber and fixed wireless networks.
We are currently hiring experienced Travel Fiber Installation Technicians who are willing to work on projects throughout the United States.
This is a nationwide travel position. Technicians are assigned to projects across the country and typically remain on project for 6–8 weeks at a time before taking a short break and returning to the next assignment.
Company-provided housing, company vehicle, gas card, and tools are provided while on project.
What You'll Do
- Install and activate Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services
- Perform residential and small business broadband installations
- Install ONTs, routers, and customer equipment
- Run and secure fiber cabling inside and outside customer homes
- Perform signal testing, speed tests, and service activations
- Troubleshoot service and connectivity issues
- Document installations and submit required job reports
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Provide professional customer service while representing the company in the field
Travel Expectations
- Must be willing to travel nationwide
- Typical assignments run 6–8 weeks on a project
- Technicians may take a short break between assignments before returning to the field
- Work schedules are typically Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays depending on project needs
- Housing is arranged and paid for by the company while on project
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following:
- FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) installations
- Fiber internet installations
- CATV or broadband installations
- Telecommunications field work
- Low-voltage installations
- Internet service provider (ISP) field operations
- Service technician or field technician experience
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb ladders and work from building exteriors or elevated locations
- Comfortable working at heights, in crawl spaces, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Professional work ethic and ability to work independently in the field
- Must be willing to travel and stay away from home for extended periods as required by project assignments

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
