Project Accountant

About The Role

The Project Accountant (PA) plays a key role in supporting our construction teams and ensuring accurate financial management across multiple projects. This position is responsible for all project accounting and administration tasks, including project billings, cost tracking, WIP reports, Certified Payroll, lien waivers, and subcontractor COIs.

We’re looking for someone organized, dependable, and proactive—someone who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with project managers, and contributing to a growing construction company.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare all project accounting and construction administration for assigned jobs.
• Maintain accurate project billings, job cost tracking, and reporting.
• Support project managers with budget reviews and contract compliance.
• Prepare and maintain WIP reports.
• Handle Certified Payroll, lien waivers, and related documentation.
• Ensure subcontractor COIs are received and current.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in construction project accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction Management.
• Strong understanding of construction billing, lien waivers, and job cost reporting.
