Elite Connector is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the Rockford, Illinois area to find a Process Technician to support production operations and help improve manufacturing performance in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process Support & Troubleshooting
- Support the setup, operation, and optimization of manufacturing processes on the production floor
- Assist in improving process stability, reducing scrap, and supporting overall product quality improvements
- Troubleshoot day-to-day production issues and escalate complex problems when needed
- Support testing and trials to help resolve production and quality concerns
Production Support & Documentation
- Assist with maintaining and updating process parameters, settings, and production records
- Support implementation of new products from development into production
- Help ensure production equipment and processes are running according to established standards
Continuous Improvement Support
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, waste reduction, efficiency improvements)
- Collect production data and assist in basic reporting of KPIs and performance metrics
- Support efforts to improve throughput and reduce down time
Training & Cross-Functional Support
- Support training of production operators on equipment, procedures, and best practices
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams
- Provide hands-on support during production runs and troubleshooting activities
Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, electro-mechanical, or mechanical technology preferred
- Experience in composites, plastics, extrusion, or other continuous manufacturing environments strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes
- Familiarity with basic process parameters (temperature, speed, pressure, etc.) and their impact on product quality
- Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems is a strong asset
- Basic PLC troubleshooting exposure is a plus
- Ability to read basic schematics and follow safety and production procedures
- Strong team player with good communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and supporting production operations on the floor
Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
