Commercial HVAC Service Manager

Elite Connector partnered with an established commercial HVAC and mechanical services provider who is seeking a Service Manager to oversee service operations in the Phoenix area. This is an excellent opportunity for a service-oriented leader who combines strong team management and customer relationship skills with sound business and financial judgment.

The Service Manager will oversee the successful delivery of maintenance agreements and service projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements. This individual will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, strengthening long-term client relationships, and achieving the branch’s operational and financial objectives.

The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing day-to-day service operations with financial performance, team coordination, and business development support.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of service activities and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, and other resources to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Monitor operating expenses, customer billings, collections, and overall financial performance.
• Manage maintenance agreement profitability and support positive cash flow.
• Review service contracts and ensure work is performed within the agreed scope.
• Analyze financial and operational reports, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare cost estimates and collaborate with sales teams on proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations.
• Identify and minimize operational, contractual, and financial risks.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, safety, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
• Establish consistent processes and management practices to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with customers while identifying opportunities to improve retention and support business growth.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of service management experience in commercial HVAC, facilities management, mechanical services, or energy-related services.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent organizational, scheduling, and resource management abilities.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical education, preferably in HVAC, mechanical systems, facilities management, or a related field.
• Experience with business-to-business sales, customer account management, or contract negotiations.
• Understanding of service agreements, project costs, profitability, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with the Phoenix commercial business market.
