Responsibilities
- Install and assemble ductwork systems according to schematics and HVAC design specifications
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on existing duct systems and related equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for duct fabrication when necessary
- Conduct equipment repair and mechanical work on HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure proper refrigerant handling and system integrity
- Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety standards and protocols during all phases of installation and repair
- Collaborate with other technicians on field service projects involving appliance repair, property maintenance, or HVAC system upgrades
Skills
- Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation, or service technician roles
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R systems
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools like ohmmeters and equipment repair tools
- Skilled in welding, boiler operation, or appliance repair is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in field service or property maintenance preferred
- Valid
driver’s license required for travel between job sites - Knowledge of plumbing, air conditioning systems, and refrigeration is highly desirable
- Experience with maintenance tasks involving heating systems or boilers is advantageous
