Essential Job Duties
- Answer clinic phones, monitor call queues, and direct calls to appropriate team members in a timely manner.
- Familiarize yourself with current clinical trials to accurately inform patients about study details (compensation, doctor visits, lab results, study medication).
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments based on availability and written protocols, ensuring patient preferences are accommodated.
- Register new patients, answer their questions, and direct them to appropriate clinical staff when necessary.
- Perform computer data entry related to patient registration, scheduling, and other assigned programs.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area and lobby for patients and visitors.
- Assist with general office duties, including distributing mail, faxes, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Support the Clinic Supervisor with additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and flexibility.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while using professional judgment and diplomacy.
- Capable of working well in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with a variety of professionals.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Experience in medical office administration or similar environments preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and assist in various aspects of the clinic’s operations.
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally to staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
