Duties
- Greet patients warmly and verify their appointment details with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Collect and update patient information accurately, including insurance details, medical history, and personal data
- Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care flow
- Maintain organized records of patient interactions using medical administrative support tools and electronic health records systems
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding pre-appointment instructions and necessary documentation
- Assist with insurance verification processes and explain billing procedures transparently
- Support the healthcare team by managing incoming calls, responding to inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a medical office environment or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately understand and communicate health-related information
- Strong office experience with proficiency in medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and providers
- Familiarity with dental or other specialty office procedures is a plus
