Duties
- Offer peer-led support by sharing personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and resilience
- Assist clients in crisis situations through effective crisis intervention and crisis management techniques
- Provide behavioral health education and promote mental health counseling strategies tailored to individual needs
- Use motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral change and goal setting
- Collaborate with clinical teams to develop personalized recovery plans and monitor progress
- Document interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance
- Mentor clients through ongoing support, fostering trust and empowerment in their recovery journey
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Peer Support Specialist, demonstrating lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavioral health principles
- Experience or training in mental health counseling, addiction counseling, social work, or related fields is highly desirable
- Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor diverse populations
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion, professionalism, and transparency

Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
