Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and support personnel, to deliver exceptional behavioral health services.
- Oversee daily center operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to organizational policies.
- Coordinate intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
- Manage crisis intervention efforts, providing immediate support during emergencies involving patients with mental health or developmental disabilities.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient records, medical records, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, child & family counseling, and specialized programs for pediatrics, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, and addiction counseling.
- Monitor clinical outcomes through data collection, research initiatives, and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems to optimize patient care strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in behavioral health management or clinical supervision within a hospital or community-based setting.
- Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques, crisis management, case management, and social work principles.
- Expertise in working with children, individuals with disabilities—including developmental disabilities and autism—and their families.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards, CPT coding, ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9), and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for intake processes, patient assessment, individual/group counseling sessions, and clinical research documentation.
- Ability to handle crisis situations effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor; experience in crisis intervention is essential.
