Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, group homes, and private residences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and companionship. This role requires a blend of practical skills and emotional intelligence to effectively assist individuals with daily living activities and ensure their safety and comfort.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure the well-being of clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Administer medication as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Support clients with mobility challenges, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional health.
- Document vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, or other developmental disabilities.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in caregiving or related fields. Preferred qualifications include:
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care environments.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
- Previous work experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable.
