Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to repair or replace faulty parts efficiently.
- Repair or replace auto body components and perform auto estimating to ensure precise service documentation.
- Work on heavy equipment mechanics when necessary and handle complex diesel engine repairs with expertise.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers about repairs needed and completed work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and diagnostic procedures.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto body repair, and GM vehicles is advantageous.
- Skilled in mechanical repair including transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension systems (shocks & struts), brake repair, and oil changes.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment mechanics and diesel engine repairs is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and automotive service equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Valid certifications related to automotive diagnostics or specific systems (e.g., ADAS or air brake) are desirable but not mandatory.
