Responsibilities
- Assist with auto body repairs, including sanding, detailing, and applying paint using airless spray equipment
- Support welding repair tasks utilizing MIG welding, automotive welding equipment, and soldering techniques
- Handle sheet metal fabrication and repair using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Aid in vehicle maintenance activities such as auto glass replacement, assembly, and auto painting
- Use mechanical knowledge to help with auto restoration projects and perform heavy lifting as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols for all tools and equipment
- Collaborate with technicians on auto estimating, customer service interactions, and quality control checks
Experience
- Dealership experience or background working as an automotive body technician is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes including sanding tools, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and detailing
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, auto restoration methods, and automotive repair fundamentals
- Mechanical experience or mechanic background that supports understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures
- Comfort working with hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and welding equipment
- Prior experience in customer service or auto estimating is a plus but not required
