Elite Auto Body and Glass has an immediate opening for a full-time auto body technician. We are located in Hunter ND in an AIR CONDITIONED shop and believe in a family-oriented atmosphere while getting the job done. The owner has been working at the shop since 2000 and purchased it in 2012. - Must be able to use all shop tools including torch and welding equipment and have own hand tools.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and remove dents using hand and power tools on all vehicle makes and models (including damaged sheet metal repair, fiberglass and panel repair, fabrication and structural welding, installation and alignment of body components, etc.)
- Replace damaged parts that cannot be repaired
- Repair locks, latches, and other accessory body parts.
- Perform glass repair and replacement.
- Inspect body damage to determine best method of repairs.
- Keep body shop owner apprised of additional damage, supplemental needs or if repairs are not on schedule.
- Ensure vehicle security and safety while in shop.
- Maintain a clean, safe, team-oriented environment.
Education and Related Experience:
- Auto Body and Collision Damage Repair Certificate (Preferred) or at least one year of experience as an auto body technician.
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Welding, suspension, framework and painting experience a plus
- Driver's License (Preferred)
