Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audio/Video Technician to join our team in Draper, UT. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and support of a wide range of advanced low-voltage control systems, including Smart Home systems, Distributed Audio/Video setups, Home Theaters, Networking/Wi-Fi systems, and Automated Window Shades.
As an Audio/Video Technician, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Installation and Support: Overseeing the installation and servicing of advanced low-voltage systems, such as Smart Home automation, distributed A/V systems, and networked solutions.
- Project Execution: Taking responsibility of all phases of the installation process, from rough-wiring to system completion and testing.
- System Setup: Running wire/cables in both new and existing homes, crimping connectors, and setting up various types of equipment, including speakers, projectors, TVs, security cameras, and automated window shades.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving any technical issues to ensure seamless system performance.
- System Calibration: Ensuring the proper calibration of electronic devices to optimize functionality and user experience.
- Reporting: Maintaining accurate job site documentation and timesheets to ensure proper project tracking.
- Company Vehicle Use: Safely driving a company van to job sites as required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in low-voltage wiring, home automation systems, or related fields is preferred. However, we are open to training motivated candidates with a strong technical aptitude.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- Physical Requirements: Comfortable working at heights, using ladders, and lifting heavy equipment when necessary.
- Professionalism: Must maintain a professional work appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime when needed, as well as occasional travel.
- Clean Driving Record: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, as you will be driving a company vehicle.
- Background Check: All candidates must successfully complete a background check.
