Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues with pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorination systems using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs on pool systems utilizing hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, inspecting plumbing, and replacing worn parts to prevent future problems
- Assist with pool cleaning tasks to ensure water quality and clarity meet safety standards
- Use specialized equipment to troubleshoot mechanical failures and restore optimal operation of pool systems
- Maintain detailed service records, including repair logs, maintenance schedules, and parts used for each job
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding repairs needed, maintenance procedures, and safety tips
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar repair role within the pool or HVAC industry preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to pool equipment and plumbing systems
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting using hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and routine maintenance practices
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively
- Prior experience working with pool maintenance or related fields is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality assurance
