What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate position at Elite AP?
Production Associate/Compounder
The primary duties of the associate are (but not limited to) the following:
1. Fill out a “Raw Material Lot Sheet” with the lot numbers of raw materials used.
2. Weigh the amount of raw material needed in any given compound.
3. Supply the conveyor line to the mixer with the needed raw materials.
4. Train and become qualified on Mixer, Mill, Batch-off and Lab.
5. Fill in on other positions as requested by management.
6. Operate forklift after receiving training.
7. Close up and identify materials from the line and take to appropriate warehouse location when done running a compound.
8. Clean and keep area free of contamination. Includes sweeping, disposing of trash, cleaning under and around scales and cleaning out pans used.
9. Initial Spec Sheet and Lot Sheet on any order produced.
10. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1. Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
2. Ability to lift raw materials with weights up to 80 pounds.
Must have reliable transportation and be available to work overtime
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Associates are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the is usually moderate. Exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, or vibrations.
The manufacturing environment consists of a fast-paced production setting involving machinery operation, material handling, and teamwork to meet production goals. Employees may be required to stand for extended periods, lift materials, wear required PPE, and work in varying temperatures and noise levels while following established safety and quality procedures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; ability to use senses to diagnose and troubleshoot problems. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

A Safety-Sensitive Function, as defined by the Company, is one that requires the operation of motor vehicles, forklifts, or motorized warehouse equipment, or one that involves inspecting, servicing, conditioning, controlling, supervising, loading or unloading such machinery. Employees performing "Safety-Sensitive Functions" are prohibited from reporting to work or being on duty while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
