Duties
- Perform alterations on various types of clothing, including wedding dresses, suits, and casual wear.
- Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences regarding fit and style.
- Conduct fittings and make adjustments as necessary to achieve the desired look.
- Maintain an organized workspace and manage inventory of fabrics and materials.
Experience
- Previous experience in fashion retail or tailoring is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines and knowledge of various sewing techniques.
- Strong understanding of garment construction principles.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements.
