Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with deep expertise in the Insurance domain and ACORD standards to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions. The ideal candidate will lead the architecture of enterprise data platforms, ensuring alignment with ACORD data models and enabling business-driven insights and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise data architecture for insurance platforms
- Develop and maintain data models aligned with ACORD standards (logical & physical)
- Define data integration, data flow, and data governance frameworks
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions
- Lead the design of data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data pipelines
- Ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance across systems
- Provide guidance on data architecture best practices, standards, and tools
- Evaluate and recommend modern data technologies (cloud, big data, ETL/ELT tools)
- Support data migration, transformation, and modernization initiatives
- Participate in architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards
- Travel occasionally for client meetings and architectural discussions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 12 years of IT experience with strong focus on Data Architecture
- Proven experience in the Insurance domain (P&C or Life Insurance preferred)
- Hands-on expertise with ACORD data standards, schemas, and messaging frameworks
- Strong experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data integration tools
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and big data technologies
- Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with insurance data platforms or digital transformation programs
- Knowledge of API-driven architecture and microservices
- Familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, Informatica, or Talend
- Certifications in cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) or data architecture
- Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines
