What You'll Do
As a Fine Finishing Specialist, you'll ensure every piece leaving our facility meets the highest standards for quality and appearance. Your day-to-day will include:
- Staining, painting, and sanding wood products with precision and care
- Hand-spraying using Airless Air Assist guns and operating automated spray equipment
- Mixing and measuring coatings for optimal finishing results
- Inspecting finished products to ensure quality and appearance standards are met
- Handling and moving wood products safely throughout the shop
- Cleaning and maintaining finishing equipment and work areas
- Following production schedules and completing work orders accurately
- Assisting with packaging and boxing customer orders as needed to support on-time delivery commitments in our fulfillment department
- Collaborating with teammates to meet daily production goals and customer expectations
What We're Looking For
- Experience in wood finishing, staining, painting, spray finishing, or a related manufacturing environment preferred, willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
- Team-oriented, dependable, and driven
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable with basic math, fractions, decimals, and measurements
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift certification a plus (training provided)
- Valid driver's license
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Active manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
- Frequent lifting, standing, walking, and material handling
- Use of PPE required, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and respirators
- Successful completion of respirator fit testing and medical clearance is required for this position post onboarding.
- Exposure to wood dust, paints, stains, coatings, and finishing materials
- Occasional use of hand and power tools
