Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic outpatient surgical team in the Loganville, GA area. This role is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality perioperative care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures
- Circulate and/or scrub in the operating room as needed
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment in accordance with policies and standards
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record system
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or compact license)
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience preferred
- Experience in outpatient or ambulatory surgery settings strongly preferred
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Day shift, Monday through Friday
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays (depending on facility needs)
