About the Role

This Staff Accountant position sits within a $250 million revenue business unit and is part of a team of four accountants. This role will directly support approximately $60M–$80M in revenue responsibility, as the business spans 15 different EINs that are divided across the team.

The Staff Accountant performs key accounting and financial analysis functions to support accurate financial statement issuance in accordance with GAAP, while also providing internal reporting and insights aligned with company goals.

You will lead month-end close processes, account reconciliations, forecasting support, audit preparation, and ongoing process improvements within the Accounting & Finance team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close reporting and reconciliation
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and analysis
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Support financial forecasting and budgeting activities
• Assist with financial and operational process audits
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Conduct project analysis and reporting
• Perform process improvement analysis and contribute to workflow enhancements
• Complete additional assignments aligned with Accounting Department objectives

Performance will be evaluated based on:

• Completion of tasks within agreed-upon timelines and project objectives
• Responsiveness and effectiveness in handling unexpected assignments
• Progress reporting and annual performance review results

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and strong foundational accounting skills
• Experience in sales tax and intercompany reconciliation
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Positive and collaborative attitude

Education & Experience

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• Three to five years of related accounting experience
• Fixed asset accounting experience required
• International accounting experience preferred
• Experience with Epicor P21 is a plus

Employee Evaluation Summary

• Introductory Review: Conducted around 90 days after hire to determine continuation of employment
• Annual Reviews: Conducted each January to evaluate performance, work ethic, and overall contribution

Work Schedule

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Attendance and time-off expectations follow handbook guidelines

Work Environment

• Office setting with casual professional attire
• Onsite work required for the first 90 days
• Eligibility for one remote workday per week after the introductory period
