Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | No Weekends | No Call
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a growing ambulatory surgery center in the Athens, GA area. This is a great opportunity for an RN looking to work in a fast-paced, collaborative ASC environment while enjoying a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.
The center operates approximately 5 OR suites and provides a streamlined surgical environment focused on high-quality patient care and an excellent patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients
- Complete patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and pre-op preparation
- Monitor patients during recovery and assess readiness for discharge
- Manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative needs
- Provide patient and family education and discharge instructions
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, OR nurses, and surgical techs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Follow ASC policies, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols
Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license
- Previous Pre-Op and/or PACU experience preferred
- ASC or perioperative experience strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
