The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced, skilled Floating Chef to our correctional facility kitchen team in St. Louis, MO. As a food service support, you will have the opportunity to help coordinate and prepare food for meal service in a variety of assigned locations.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting with planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating the activities of the food service department to provide outstanding dining options to each assigned unit.
- Helping to enforce company policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for menu formation; food preparation, distribution, and service; budgeting and purchasing; sanitation standards; safety practices; and staffing and staff development.
- Ensuring proper temperature, portioning, and quality of meals.
- Directly preparing meals as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
- At least two years’ experience in food service.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the year.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves:
- At least one years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Associate’s degree or higher.
Compensation Range
$20.00 per hour, paid weekly
