Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and friendly pharmacy technician to join our team at an independent community pharmacy in Queens, NY. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast paced environment, communicates well with patients and coworkers, and pays close attention to details. Previous retail pharmacy experience and experience with PrimeRx is strongly preferred. Spanish speaking is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Entering and processing prescriptions accurately
- Entering patient data into pharmacy software systems with precision
- Assist in medication inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and maintaining proper storage conditions.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality while handling sensitive health information
- Processing insurance claims and helping resolve common rejections
- Handling refill requests and communicating with doctors offices
- Maintaining an organized and efficient work area
- Answering phone calls and assisting patients with excellent customer service
Compensation- competitive and based on experience
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
