Program Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Program Director to lead and coordinate impactful community programs that foster engagement, support underserved populations, and promote public health initiatives. Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate community programs aligned with organizational goals and community needs.
• Lead and supervise program staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on excellence and innovation.
• Engage in community outreach activities to build trust, increase participation, and strengthen partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of program objectives.
• Utilize social media management tools and marketing strategies to promote programs and increase visibility across various platforms.
• Collect, analyze, and report data related to program outcomes to inform continuous improvement efforts.
• Facilitate public speaking engagements to advocate for community needs and raise awareness about available services.
• Coordinate with community partners on initiatives such as addiction counseling, public health campaigns, youth programs, and grassroots organizing efforts.
• Oversee administrative tasks including client communication, fundraising activities, recruiting volunteers or staff, and maintaining detailed records.
• Ensure all team members are trained in CPR and other safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for participants.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in volunteer management, supervising teams, or leading community programs.
• Strong background in program development, project management, social work or public health fields.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences through public speaking or presentations.
• Demonstrated expertise in social media management, marketing strategies, data collection methods, and technical proficiency with relevant tools.
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of addiction counseling, youth programming, grassroots organizing, or community outreach is preferred.
• Leadership skills with a track record of team leadership and collaboration with community partners.
• Organizational skills capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Valid CPR certification; experience in social work or public health is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients from varied backgrounds while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and empathy.
• AA degree in ECE or 45 or more credits. Also you may be qualified for education after 90 days of employment, with Alice's Precious Jewels.
