Our client seeks a DevOps Engineer to manage Salesforce release and deployment processes across multiple environments. The role emphasizes Git-based version control, peer reviews, metadata troubleshooting, and coordination with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
- Manage and execute Salesforce deployments across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments.
- Maintain and support Git-based version control, including branching and merging.
- Conduct peer reviews of Salesforce metadata changes and pull requests to ensure quality and standards.
- Validate Apex tests, code coverage, and deployment readiness.
- Troubleshoot deployment failures, metadata conflicts, and environment differences.
- Support sandbox refreshes, environment alignment, and data preparation.
- Collaborate with developers, admins, QA, and release teams to coordinate and plan deployments.
- Document deployment procedures, release steps, and environment configurations.
- Ensure release activities follow internal controls and audit requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment processes and release management practices.
- Up to 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, or Salesforce deployment roles.
- Practical experience using Git for version control.
- Experience performing peer reviews within a development or release workflow.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve deployment and metadata issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience with Flosum (preferred).
- Exposure to code quality tools such as PMD, ESLint, or SonarQube (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce metadata such as Apex, LWC, Flows, Custom Objects, and Permission Sets (preferred).
