US Payer Strategy & Launch Readiness

This role will partner closely with the Director of Market Access and serve as a strategic advisor across payer analytics, value story development, and field enablement.

Responsibilities
US Payer Strategy & Launch Readiness
- Support development and refinement of US payer strategy for rare disease assets approaching launch
- Conduct payer landscape and access risk assessments, including commercial, Medicaid, and specialty payer considerations
- Help pressure-test launch assumptions related to access timing, utilization management, and contracting scenarios
- Provide structured recommendations on access-related risks and mitigation strategies
- Assist in shaping the payer value narrative, translating clinical, unmet need, and HEOR inputs into payer-relevant messaging
- Support alignment of the value story across national and regional payer audiences
- Identify evidence or analytics gaps that could impact payer decision-making pre- and peri-launch
- Analyze claims data, coverage policies, and utilization management trends to generate actionable payer insights
- Translate data into clear strategic implications for market access leadership
- Support payer segmentation and prioritization strategies based on disease prevalence, payer controls, and policy trends
- Support the market access field team with payer insights, strategic talking points, and analytics-driven frameworks
- Serve as a thought partner to help account teams understand payer motivations, objections, and decision pathways in rare disease
- Ensure field-facing materials are strategy-led and aligned with overall payer positioning
- Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Commercial Planning to ensure integrated launch readiness
- Act as a strategic connector across teams in a lean, fast-moving rare disease organization
- Contribute to internal decision-making as a market access thought partner, not a tactical executo
- 7–12 years of experience in market access strategy, payer strategy, or life sciences consulting
- Demonstrated experience supporting rare disease and/or orphan product launches
- Strong understanding of US payer dynamics, including managed care, specialty pharmacy, and utilization management
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and convert insights into strategic recommendations
- Experience working effectively in high ambiguity, early-stage, or pre-launch environments
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or similar) preferred but not required
