Elgin Industries is seeking qualified candidates for a variety of Machine Operator positions ranging from entry-level to skilled roles. Machine Operators are responsible for operating, adjusting, and troubleshooting production equipment while ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday
Full-Time | 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and operate assigned machinery and equipment.
- Understand and follow work instructions at each assigned workstation.
- Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and determine when adjustments or stoppages are necessary.
- Perform visual and Level 4 quality inspections during production using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Identify defective parts and properly scrap non-conforming materials.
- Make offset adjustments based on product quality requirements.
- Perform basic tooling changes under supervisor direction.
- Cross-train on additional equipment and processes as needed.
- Maintain production and quality records as instructed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Assist in training other employees when required.
- Support other departments with production needs as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $25.00 per hour
