ELG Estate Planning, a Spokane-based Estate Planning and Elder Law firm with offices in Spokane, Seattle, and Tri-Cities, is growing our client services team. We are seeking a Client Needs Consultant (CNC) to join our Spokane office.

As a Client Needs Consultant, you will conduct Initial Consultations with prospective clients, identify their Estate Planning needs, and explain how our firm’s services can help them achieve their goals and protect what matters most. You’ll play a critical role in converting leads into clients and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a knack for relationship building, and a passion for helping others.
Job Functions
- Conduct Initial Consultations (ICs) with prospective clients to assess their needs and introduce our Estate Planning solutions
- Explain ELG’s systems, processes, and fee structures clearly and compassionately
- Transition new clients by delivering onboarding materials and ensuring they are well-informed about next steps
- Conduct consultations via Zoom or telephone, tailoring your presentation to the format
- Maintain thorough notes in HubSpot within 2 business days of each Initial Consultation
- Provide timely follow-up communication and recap emails to encourage sales conversions
- Collaborate with Legal and Administrative teams to ensure seamless client onboarding
- Attend weekly sales pipeline meetings and offer marketing feedback based on client experiences
- Represent the firm at networking events, educational workshops, and community outreach activities
- Answer intake calls and support the Intake Specialist team
Qualifications
We don’t require prior legal experience - but professionalism, initiative, and compassion are a must! The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 year record of success in a consultative sales profession, such as an insurance agent, private client banker, relationship manager, automotive sales, business development roles, portfolio manager, or any sales role that is based around a consultative sales process and approach
- A proven track record of exceeding sales quotas, revenue generation, retention, and closing goals
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as the enthusiasm needed to champion the firm and its services
- Proven ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and Zoom
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills
- Skilled with CRM systems (we use HubSpot), Microsoft Office, and online meeting platforms
- Comfort with high-stakes conversations involving sensitive personal matters
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented culture
- Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented approach consistent with the firm’s culture and core values.
- Drive to meet or exceed performance benchmarks, including sales conversion rates

Compensation and Benefits
- This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Spokane, WA office (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.).
- This is a non-exempt position. The hourly wage base is $26-28/hour, plus incentive pay for client services on new matters, paid monthly.
- Annual earning potential ranges from $55,000-$85,000 .
- Employees can enroll in the firm’s health insurance, dental insurance, and Simple IRA Retirement Account with a 3% employer match.
- Employees also receive two weeks annual vacation, Washington paid sick and safety leave, plus enjoy 10 paid holidays per year.
