Maintenance Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Maintenance Manager to join our fast-paced warehouse team. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance operations within a high-volume water bottling manufacturing facility to ensure maximum equipment reliability, production efficiency, and workplace safety. This role oversees a team of maintenance technicians and electricians while managing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment, packaging machinery, utilities, and facility systems. This individual will work closely with the Production, Quality, Logistics teams and Chief Executive Officer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise, train, and coach maintenance technicians responsible for production equipment, bottling lines, packaging systems, conveyors, pumps, compressors, motors, chillers, dryer systems, and related facility systems.
• Assist with scheduling and assigning daily maintenance tasks, work orders, preventive maintenance activities, and emergency repairs.
• Inspect machinery and equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic issues and coordinate timely repairs.
• Support troubleshooting of electrical systems, control panels, motors, sensors, switches, wiring, and other plant electrical components (High Degree: Electrical Knowledge).
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of bottling, filling, capping, labeling, shrink wrapping, palletizing, conveyor, packaging equipment and injection molding experience.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC-controlled production equipment, resin dryer systems, chillers, etc.
• Diagnose equipment failures and coordinate timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and within manufacturer specifications.
• Help maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and improve operational reliability.
• Monitor equipment performance and communicate maintenance concerns to appropriate leadership.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, sanitation standards, and applicable safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, parts usage, downtime, completed work orders and spare parts inventory.
• Assist with inventory control for tools, replacement parts, and maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate with production, quality, sanitation, and outside vendors as needed to complete repairs and improvement projects.
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and production work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to equipment reliability, efficiency, safety, and cost control.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic leadership ability with a willingness to supervise, coach, and support a maintenance team.
• Hands-on electrical experience, including basic troubleshooting of motors, wiring, control panels, sensors, and industrial electrical components. (High Degree: Electrical Knowledge)
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, production machinery, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and packaging equipment.
• Ability to read and understand basic equipment manuals, diagrams, schematics, blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize maintenance needs in a production environment and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Commitment to workplace safety, food safety, quality standards, and good manufacturing practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Flexibility to work required overtime, weekends, and different shifts as needed.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, adaptable to change, visionary mindset

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Systems, or a related field preferred; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field a plus.
• Licensed Electrician or Journeyman Electrician certification.
• Forklift / Crane Operator certification a plus
• 7 to 10 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Onsite, 24-hour facility with multiple schedules
• Shifts: 1st: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm; 2nd: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm; 2nd split: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Overtime if required and approved
• Flexibility needed for on-call and short-noticed work, weekend work, special events, or high-volume periods.
• General production facility environment, with driving, standing, and walking for long periods, with some sitting in between essential job activities.
• Repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Travel 10-25% required; primarily within local and Southeast regions, and other regions if needed, to participate in sales and marketing events.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
