Eleven Recruiting is searching for a Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join one of our largest aviation clients. This role is responsible for the assembly, testing, and manufacturing of low-to-moderate complexity aerospace components and sub-assemblies supporting legacy and in-service aircraft platforms. Products may include electro-mechanical assemblies, cockpit lighting systems, and other critical aircraft components requiring strict adherence to OEM specifications.
Success in this role is defined by the ability to consistently deliver high-quality, compliant hardware in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment, where attention to detail and adaptability across multiple product lines are essential.
This position is 100% onsite in Chatsworth, CA, supporting 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM).
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble aerospace components and sub-assemblies in accordance with detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate build execution
- Perform in-process inspections and functional testing to verify product conformity
- Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, workmanship criteria, and regulatory requirements (AS9100 environment)
- Support sustainment manufacturing, including legacy products with evolving documentation and configuration requirements
- Identify and recommend improvements to work instructions, tooling, and assembly processes to drive continuous improvement
- Execute daily production schedules while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Support new product introductions and product transfers associated with acquired or transitioned product lines
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve production or documentation issues
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Experience working in high-mix / low-volume assembly environments strongly preferred
- Proficient with standard measuring tools (micrometers, indicators, height gauges, etc.)
- Experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, power supplies) and general shop tools
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
