Job Overview
The Vice President Lending role with Expree Credit Union is responsible for managing a team of loan officers and collection staff. Position Functions
- Identify and develop long term strategies that include initiatives such as portfolio mix, growth strategies, and market penetration objectives.
- Direct and monitor all lending operations.
- Monitor adherence to sound credit practices by all direct reports, that follow credit union policies and procedures.
- Handle all insider applications and prepares documents for the review committee.
- Create and analyze loan data reports.
- Research and evaluate the feasibility of new lending products.
- Oversee collection actions for delinquent loan members.
- Resolve member complaints and issues.
- Represent and promote the credit union at external functions.
- Ensure overall soundness of loan portfolios.
- Monitor compliance with federal and state lending laws, including contracts and disclosure requirements, maintaining transparency and integrity in all transactions.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for new lending products or improvements to existing offerings.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in loan origination within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of loan processing procedures, including documentation review and compliance standards like TILA regulations.
- Comprehensive expertise in Underwriting processes and practices
- Strong proficiency in Finance and foundational lending principles
- Experience in managing Consumer Lending activities, including customer-focused loan products
- Proven track record in Loans and loan portfolio management
- Commercial Lending experience
- Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
- Ability to function effectively in an on-site leadership role in Frankfort, KY
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
