Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate has at least two years of clinical experience, preferably surgical is upbeat and generally enjoys helping people. Superior customer service skills are required. The Plastic Surgery Nurse will assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients for surgeries, providing comprehensive patient education, facilitating setup for in-office procedures, and ensuring adherence to safety and medical protocols. The nurse will also collaborate with the clinic team to deliver optimal care and support to each patient.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing outstanding customer service and compassionate care to patients undergoing plastic surgery procedures
- Gathering information and patient histories
- Assisting the Surgeon with examinations, measurements, and photos
- Assisting the Surgeon with in-office procedures
- Providing pre-operative instructions and education to patients and caregivers
- Preparing patients for examination by Surgeon; capturing all vital signs, providing gowns, taking photos, and starting the progress notes
- Tracking pre-operative test results and medical clearances, ordering implants and garment
- Taking phone messages and responding as directed by the surgeon
- Cleaning and stocking exam rooms with necessary supplies, sterilizing instruments, and ordering clinical supplies as necessary
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license; BSN preferred
- Two years clinical nursing experience, with a strong focus on patient care and support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide patient-centered care
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of aesthetic and reconstructive surgical practices is a plus
