Position Summary
The Vice President of Manufacturing is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations across Elevator Interiors’ production facilities. This role will lead the development and execution of strategies that ensure operational excellence, production efficiency, quality control, and safety, while driving continuous improvement and scalability as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with the company’s growth and operational goals.
Partner with executive leadership to support innovation, cost management, and new product development initiatives.
Evaluate and optimize production capacity, workflow, and resource allocation to meet current and future demands.
Operations Management
Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including fabrication, assembly, material flow, and production scheduling.
Ensure on-time delivery of projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Implement lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and process improvement initiatives.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Establish and enforce quality assurance standards to ensure product excellence.
Promote a culture of workplace safety, compliance, and accountability.
Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste, improve yields, and enhance product consistency.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing manufacturing management team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and operational excellence.
Identify training and development opportunities to build technical expertise within the workforce.
Financial & Resource Management
Manage manufacturing budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to achieve financial targets.
Oversee procurement, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
Evaluate and invest in new equipment, technology, and facilities as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Sales to align production capabilities with project requirements.
Participate in strategic planning, product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives company-wide.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in construction materials, custom fabrication, or architectural interiors.
Proven experience managing multi-shift or multi-site production environments.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, process engineering, and quality systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive operational transformation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing analytics tools.
