ELID - Packing Specialist

Job Summary:

Works with Supervisors/ Team Leads to generate the production paperwork and shipper labels required to run production jobs. Also enter data collected for production job into ERP system/Syteline. Perform other tasks or generate reports as directed by Supervisory staff/ Production Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works in computer system to commit totals produce and labor hour to Production Jobs.
• Prints job packet, datasheets, and shipper labels for production jobs in computer system.
• Researches and resolves variances and problems with production jobs.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct threat to the individual or others.
• Work on production line when needed or during idle time.

Knowledge & Skills:

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Ability to accurately enter information into the computer inventory system for the completion of production jobs in a timely manner.
• Ability to research variances and resolve problems encountered in production job paperwork.
• Experience in multiple requirements planning systems and /or similar environments.
• Ability to stay on-task with minimal supervision until task is completed.
• Ability to determine tasks priorities and complete tasks in required time frames.
• Ability to write legibly and comprehensively.
• Must be able to communicate clearly either verbally and/or in writing production requirements.
• Operate ten-key and PC programs i.e.: Syteline and /or other similar inventory control/ receiving programs / Microsoft Word/ Excel.
• Able to lift minimum of 25 pounds on a regular basis.
• Perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely.
• Communicate by telephone and/or in person.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous production experience preferred

Physical/Mental Demands:

• Regularly required to stand
• Occasionally/frequently required to walk
• Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel
• Regularly reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally/frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment:

• Regularly required to work in areas where chemical materials are encountered
• Regularly required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• May involve exposure to shop environment including variable noise levels
• Must customarily have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety
• Fast paced
