Overview
The Warehouse Operations Coordinator supports the daily flow of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, material movement, order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse organization. This role serves as a key point of contact on the warehouse floor to help ensure materials are handled accurately, safely, and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing or distribution environment. This position requires strong warehouse experience, the ability to operate equipment safely, and the ability to support team communication and daily priorities.
Responsibilities
- Support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, staging, picking, shipping, and inventory movement.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and RF scanners safely and efficiently.
- Verify inbound and outbound shipments against paperwork, purchase orders, transfer documents, or shipping records.
- Assist with inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts, stock checks, and inventory adjustments as needed.
- Use warehouse systems, scanners, and inventory tools to track and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Coordinate material movement to support production, shipping, receiving, and warehouse needs.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, food safety standards, and OSHA requirements.
- Communicate warehouse needs, shortages, discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to management.
- Assist with training and guiding warehouse team members on proper processes, equipment use, and safety expectations.
- Support workflow priorities as directed by the Warehouse Manager, Supervisor, or Operations leadership.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience required.
- Forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, or similar equipment experience preferred.
- Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems, or inventory systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Strong understanding of safety practices in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
- Prior experience supporting or guiding a team is preferred, but this is not required to be a supervisory role.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a warehouse, cooler, freezer, production, or manufacturing environment as required.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow all safety procedures.
Work Environment
This role is performed in a food manufacturing and warehouse environment. The position may require working around moving equipment, refrigerated areas, production areas, shipping docks, and other warehouse conditions. Employees are expected to follow all company safety, quality, GMP, and food safety procedures at all times.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
