We have an opening in our 18-month-old bilingual classroom. Our program is committed to play and spending time outdoors. We have a homey, casual vibe indoors and a natural feel in our outdoor areas. Come and play!
Compensation:
Pay depends on education and experience. Qualified educators may separately apply for additional compensation through the New Mexico ECECD PreK Pay Parity Program. ECECD determines eligibility and award amounts based on the educator’s position, education, qualifying experience, continued employment, monthly reporting, and available funding. Elevation cannot guarantee approval, a particular award amount, or continued state funding.
Minimum requirements:
- high school diploma or GED
- 1 year relevant experience
- fluent in Spanish and English
Preferred:
- degree in early childhood education or CDA
- 2 years experience in a toddler classroom
Required skills and attributes:
- Relating warmly to children, parents, and co-workers
- Lifting 50 pounds and getting up and down from the floor frequently
- Communicating effectively in person and in writing
- The ability to work collaboratively
- A true love of working with children in a partnership
- The ability to stay calm and positive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- A propensity for taking children outdoors often and letting them play in the mud with bare feet
