Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods by managing the shipping and receiving processes. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
- Accurately receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing products securely and labeling them appropriately.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and lull, to move products within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipping logs, and receiving documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve efficiency in shipping and receiving operations.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Experience
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving roles within a distribution center is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and lull is a plus.
- Strong understanding of package handling procedures, order picking, packing techniques, and order fulfillment processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow instructions and maintain records.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to learn software with in first 45 days.
