Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Houston, TX for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and manage treatment plans for personal injury patients. Responsibilities include conducting thorough medical examinations, documenting patient progress, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, performing in-house procedures, and providing patient education. You will also coordinate with legal teams regarding patient cases, ensuring thorough injury documentation and adherence to treatment timelines.
Qualifications
- Clinical Skills: Experience in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and creating treatment plans for complex cases, with a focus on pain management, neurology, and rehabilitation.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in medical documentation, familiarity with in-house diagnostic tools such as TBI testing and EMG, and experience managing injury documentation for legal purposes.
- Patient Care and Communication: Strong communication skills, patient education abilities, and a commitment to providing compassionate and culturally competent care, including working with a bilingual patient population.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of medical providers, chiropractors, and legal professionals.
- Licensure and Credentials: Active and unrestricted NP or PA license in Texas; certification in the relevant field is required. Experience in personal injury care is a plus but not required.
