Job Description
As a Cheba Hut Bartender, you will be responsible for your daily bartending duties, ensuring that all customers receive an exceptional experience. You will work with your MOD, AGM, and GM to maintain high standards in liquor laws, customer service, and overall bar operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce all liquor laws to protect the business and its employees.
- Provide excellent customer service by offering personalized attention and ensuring every customer feels welcome.
- Serve drinks as needed and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Receive and organize liquor and beer deliveries, verifying invoices and filing receipts.
- Complete opening, shift change, closing, and cleaning checklists, including preparing for events and promotions.
- Promote and sell daily and happy hour specials, staying informed about upcoming events and neighborhood activities.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of menu items, tap handles, menus, chalk work, and pricing.
- Cut off any customer who has reached their limit, offering alternative options such as water or food.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and tracking of alcohol throughout the restaurant.
Key Daily Responsibilities:
- Answer the phone and take pickup orders through the bar, providing clear instructions to customers.
- Expo and prepare food and beverages according to recipe cards and company standards.
- Assist third-party delivery drivers and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Prepare baskets, make Kool-Aid, and perform other tasks as required.
- Act as the third point of contact and address customer concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the lobby, patio, and dining areas.
- Restock soda stations, napkin dispensers, and other supplies as needed.
Required Experience, Abilities, and Skills:
- Hold ServSafe and/or TIPS certification.
- Demonstrate integrity, self-direction, and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with employees and customers.
- Work well under physically and mentally stressful situations.
- Have reliable transportation, access to a smartphone, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for up to 8 hours per day and handle various foods, including meat, cheese, bread, sauces, and vegetables.
