Join Our Team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver!
Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in your community? Our Sioux City-based non-emergency medical transport company is seeking reliable and compassionate Drivers to join our dedicated team in Sioux City.
In this vital role, you'll provide safe and timely transportation for clients to and from medical appointments, dialysis treatments, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare-related destinations. You'll also provide transportation to students attending the Sioux City Community School District. This is a perfect opportunity for individuals with driving/delivery related work experience to contribute to their community.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles, including wheelchair-accessible vans, to transport clients.
- Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices properly.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and records.
Qualifications:
- Valid Iowa driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations or chargeable accidents in the last three years.
- Minimum of 25 years old (for insurance purposes).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed (up to 75 lbs).
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of Sioux City and surrounding rural counties.
