Overview
Elevate Stair Climb is a fast-growing boutique fitness studio offering 30-minute, music-driven stair-master–based classes that deliver an unmatched full-body burn. We are located in Northvale, NJ, and are expanding our instructor team.
We are looking for high-energy, reliable, and engaging fitness instructors to lead our signature classes including Climb Stride, ClimbX, ClimbX: Glutes, and ClimbX: Pilates.
No stair-master experience needed; we fully train you.
We value personality, presence, and the ability to motivate a room above all else.
This role is ideal for someone who loves fitness and is looking to grow with an upcoming fitness model!
Responsibilities
- Lead high-energy, 30-minute group fitness classes following Elevate’s signature formats
- Deliver clear cueing, timing, and transitions to maintain flow and safety
- Motivate, support, and encourage climbers of all fitness levels
- Create a positive, welcoming environment for newcomers and returning members
- Follow studio guidelines for class structure, warm-up, cool-down, and pacing
- Assist with setup and breakdown before and after class
- Learn our choreography and coaching standards during training
- Communicate effectively with owners and staff around scheduling, subbing, and class needs
- Occasionally assist with community events, special classes, or promotional activities (events which you will be paid to do!)
Requirements
- Strong stage presence and confidence in leading groups
- Excellent communication skills and ability to command a room
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Passion for fitness, movement, and helping others
- Ability to memorize and deliver class structure and musical timing
- Comfortable teaching to music and maintaining rhythm
- Weekend and/or weekday availability (flexible roles available)
- Willingness to complete Elevate’s instructor training program
Preferred but NOT required:
- Group fitness certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, etc.)
- Personal training experience
- Experience teaching group classes (spin, HIIT, Pilates, barre, dance, etc.)
- Background in performance, dance, theater, or athletics
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 3 per week
