Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Licensed Cosmetology Educator to inspire and guide aspiring beauty professionals. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive training in a variety of cosmetology disciplines, including hair, skin and nails. Your expertise will help students develop their skills, confidence, and industry knowledge to succeed in the competitive beauty industry.
Duties
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons on cosmetology topics such as hair coloring, hair extensions, barbering, facial treatments, eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, and laser aesthetics.
- Supervise student practice sessions to ensure proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
- Mentor students through individualized feedback and support to foster their professional growth and confidence.
- Detailed lesson plans aligned with industry standards and curriculum requirements to ensure comprehensive coverage of all topics.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment by enforcing health and safety regulations related to salon practices and student conduct.
- Stay current with industry trends and certifications to continuously update course content and teaching methods.
Qualifications
- Must have a active cosmetology instructor license in the State of Michigan.
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with practical knowledge.
- Strong classroom experience with the ability to teach adult learners effectively through lesson planning and student mentoring.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for inspiring students and fostering their professional development.
- Ability to supervise students during practical applications while ensuring safety standards are met.
